When in doubt aim for the lime green.

lime green	line out	stereo speakers, headphones, stereo system
light blue	line in	input from external device
no colour	rear out or speaker/headphone	for unpowered speakers or rear speakers
pink	mono/microphone in	microphone input
gold	game port	15-pin joystikc connector or MIDI connector
